Grades

Grades are based on the following:
  • Class tests
  • Class homework
  • Proficiency
  • Class participation
  • Effort
  • Accuplacer test scores (25% of total)
  • Writing test score (5% of total)

Your end of term transcript will include:
  • Grades
  • Attendance
  • End of term test scores
  • Comments about proficiency

Your final grade in your EPI courses will be determined by:
  • Your work done throughout the term (70%)
  • Your gain in English proficiency as measured by the EPI final exams (30%)

EPI’s Grading Scale

 

First calculate your total GPA:

 

A   =  90–100  = 4
B+ = 85–89     = 3.5
B   =  80–84    = 3
C+ = 75–79    = 2.5
C   = 70–74    = 2
D+ =  65–69   = 1.5
D   =  60–64   = 1    
F    =  59 – 0   = 0  
        

 

Then calculate cumulative GPA:
