Socializing and Relationships

Generally, Americans tend to be open and friendly.

Remember there really is no single rule.

Some Americans are open to relationships with people of other races and religions, others are not.

Americans value individuality, and may not follow clear cultural norms.

Treat Americans as individuals and you will be successful in your relationships with them.

People are friendly, but it takes time to make friends.

People in the US may expect less from their friends than other cultures do.

Wasting time is a bad thing in the USA.

It is rude to be more than two or three minutes late.
