VP for Global Carolina Named to CONAHEC Board
Dr. Allen Miller, Vice Provost and Director for Global Carolina, has been named to the CONAHEC Board of Directors.
The Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration (CONAHEC) has announced its newly elected Board of Directors comprised of leaders in international education from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Dr. Allen Miller, Vice Provost and Director of Global Carolina -- the division of which English Programs for Internationals is a part -- is among the newly elected members of the Board. According to the press release issued by CONAHEC, "Dr. Miller received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas in 1989. He was later the Graduate Director and then Chair of the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, where he was instrumental in the creation of the PhD in Hispanic Studies at USC. Now the Vice Provost and Director of Global Carolina, he leads the comprehensive internationalization of the university. He is an internationally recognized scholar of literature and culture. He holds the highest research honor given by the University of South Carolina."
